This collection was the first installment of the BMG reissue program of Fats Waller and His Rhythm on CD. BMG was a little heavy-handed with the "noise reduction" sound processing back then (at times they would filter out enough high frequencies that records sounded muffled and dead), but the mastering on this collection isn't as bad as some of their reissues from the s/5(8).
