Defender is the thirteenth album and tenth studio album by Irish musician Rory orecracciadroponetinloratingden.xyzinfo after a five-year hiatus from the recording studio, it was his first album released on the Capo label. The song "Continental Op" was inspired by the nameless fictional detective created by Dashiell Hammett, and was dedicated to Hammett.

FAILSAFE DAY “Some songs you recognise immediately are going to need production to help them build. This was an Armageddon type situation, so it needed to be built up. We did our best with it. It was the most difficult to put together -it doesn’t appear complex, but it was quite fishy.

Find release reviews and credits for Defender - Rory Gallagher on AllMusic Main Album Defender. Release Date March 23, The quality picks up substantially as the volume subsides on "Loanshark Blues," but by-the-books crunch-rockers like "Failsafe Day" and the unfortunately titled "Road to Hell" don't bode well for Gallagher.

Defender is definitely not his best effort but even a middle of the road recording by Rory Gallagher is worth listening to, often. Still very bluesy but the usual energy is missing but and this is a big but, the majesty of his guitar is still allover this record. Improves slightly with a buzz and headphones. RIP Rory Gallagher RIP Lou Martin.
