It actually sounds much closer to the Let It Be Naked version than to the Let It Be album. The later performances in the late 80s and into the 90s have a bigger orchestral background. Those performances do borrow a few phrases here and there of the Spector arrangement, take some of the brass from the ’76 version, and add in some new wrinkles—but still no harps or choir.

Naked is an alternative mix of the Beatles ' album Let It Be, released in The project was initiated by Paul McCartney, who felt that the original album's producer, Phil Spector, did not capture the group's stripped-down, back-to-their-roots intentions for the album.

Also, on the "Let It Be" album, the ambiances sounded bad, it sounded as if it was recorded inside of a shoe box. The drums sounded weak and thuddy, with hardly any frequency response, and the bass sounded flat and lifeless. I just listened to LET IT BE NAKED and MAN I love this album! It sounds like the BEATLES!.

The album is presented in a form which Paul McCartney considers closer to its original artistic vision: to "get back" to the rock and roll sound of their early years rather than the orchestral overdubs and embellishments which were added by Phil Spector in the production of the final Let It Be album. McCartney in particular was always dissatisfied with the "Wall of Sound.

Naked has the best ending combination of separate songs (Don’t Let Me Down, I Me Mine, Across The Universe, and Let It Be). The only other Beatles’ album with a comparable four-song span of perfection (well, all of their songs are perfect) is on 1, with I Feel Fine, Eight Days A .
